Jadhir is a free Arabic root-word analyzer and dictionary. By using the site you agree to these terms.

Content accuracy

We work hard to provide accurate linguistic information, but all content is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Definitions and morphological analyses may contain errors — please report any you find via the in-app report-a-problem feature.

Sources and attribution

• English definitions are drawn from Hans Wehr, A Dictionary of Modern Written Arabic (4th edition, 1979).
• Some Arabic definitions are adapted from Arabic Wiktionary under the CC BY-SA license.
• Some root data derives from open linguistic sources, including Lisan al-Arab via open-source datasets.

Acceptable use

Do not abuse the service, including attempts to disrupt it or bulk-scrape it in ways that degrade it for other users.

Advertising

The site is ad-supported via Google AdSense. See the privacy policy for cookie details and opt-out options.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated version.
